I did not find student morning report to be a useful learning experience. I think the idea of students presenting cases on a daily basis with an attending is great - however, the timing was very poor with respect to rounds and pre-rounding. In fact, it acutally kept me from participating in pre-rounds teaching with the intern and upper level resident on several occasions. I do not think it is a wise use of students' time. It seems that the afternoon would be a more reasonable time for such a session.
